Only you. Every entry is encrypted with AES-256 on your device before it's ever uploaded. The encryption key lives in your phone's secure keychain — not on our servers. Even if someone gained access to our database, all they'd see is unreadable ciphertext. When you use AI features, your decrypted text is sent to Claude via a secure proxy and immediately discarded — never stored.

You can read and write journal entries without an internet connection — your entries are stored locally on your device. AI features (weekly reviews, pattern detection, personalized prompts) require a connection since they call Claude. Your entries sync to the cloud automatically when you reconnect.

Nothing is deleted. You keep every entry you've ever written — always. If you cancel, you move back to the free tier and lose access to AI features going forward, but your full journal history stays intact and readable. You can also export everything at any time from Settings.

Yes — always. Go to Settings → Export and choose between JSON (for importing into other tools) or plain text (for reading anywhere). Your data is yours, and we make it easy to take it with you. This is available on the free tier too.

Never. Your entries are used only to generate your insights — and nothing else. We don't sell your data, serve ads, or use your writing to train any AI model. Anthropic (the company behind Claude) also has a policy against using API data for training. Your words exist to help you understand yourself, not to help anyone else build products.
